Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This is a general template, not legal advice — have it reviewed before relying on it.

This policy explains what Bookrink (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you use our subscription service, how we use it, and who we share it with. Bookrink is a convenience layer over your rink’s DaySmart Recreation system; we are not affiliated with DaySmart.

1. What we collect

  • Account details — your email address and basic profile information you provide.
  • DaySmart customer id — the identifier that links your Bookrink account to your DaySmart account at your rink, so we can show your sessions and book on your behalf.
  • Subscription status — your current plan and billing state (for example, active, cancelled, or past due).

We do not store your DaySmart password, and we do not store your full card numbers. Card details are entered and handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor.

2. How we use it

  • to provide the service — authenticating to DaySmart on your behalf and booking sessions;
  • to manage your subscription and process payments through Stripe;
  • to communicate with you about your account, billing, and support requests; and
  • to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Bookrink:

  • DaySmart Recreation — your rink’s booking platform, which we connect to on your behalf to read availability and place bookings.
  • Stripe — our payment processor, which collects and processes your card details and handles billing.
  • Cloudflare — provides network, security, and content-delivery services that route traffic to Bookrink.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. We share only what is needed for them to perform their role.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. We do not use them to build advertising profiles. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but doing so may prevent you from staying logged in.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After you close your account, we retain limited records where required to meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations, and then delete or anonymize the rest.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Children’s privacy

Bookrink is intended for adults who manage bookings for themselves and their household. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
