Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. The service
Bookrink (“Bookrink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a software subscription that adds a faster booking experience — one-tap booking, spots-left visibility, and family scheduling — on top of a rink’s existing DaySmart Recreation system. Bookrink is a convenience layer only. We do not operate any ice rink, and we do not sell ice time, lessons, memberships, or merchandise. All bookings, sessions, and payments for rink activities are made through, and governed by, the policies of your rink and DaySmart.
Bookrink is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DaySmart Recreation or any rink. DaySmart is a trademark of its respective owner.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create a Bookrink account. By using Bookrink, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for keeping your rink and household information up to date.
3. Accounts and DaySmart credentials
To use Bookrink you connect the DaySmart account you hold with your rink. When you perform actions in Bookrink, we authenticate to DaySmart on your behalf to carry them out. We never store your DaySmart password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Bookrink offers a Free plan and paid plans: Pro at $7.99/month or $79/year, and Premium at $13.99/month or $139/year. Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period — monthly or annual, depending on the plan you choose — until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time through the in-app billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid features remain available through the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices may change, but we will give you notice before any change applies to your renewals. Billing and refunds are also governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Bookrink for any unlawful purpose or in violation of your rink’s or DaySmart’s terms;
- access another person’s account or data without authorization;
- interfere with, overload, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service or its underlying systems;
- reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to circumvent the security of the service; or
- use automated means to place bookings in a way that abuses rink capacity or harms other skaters.
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or that puts the service, a rink, or other users at risk.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Bookrink is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Because Bookrink relies on DaySmart and your rink’s systems, we do not guarantee that bookings will always succeed, that availability shown is error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Your rink’s policies govern the sessions themselves, including cancellations, refunds, and access to ice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookrink will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of bookings, data, or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Bookrink after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
